Setting up a tripod is easy. Setting up a tripod requires common sense. Former SHS Video interns, Mack and Alexis, produced this video to help me explain the process of properly setting up a camera on a tripod.
After watching this video, please go to the tripod storage area, check out a tripod and camera, and set it up with a partner. You will be completing the TRIPOD SETUP ASSIGNMENT handout. You will need to print it and have me sign off your work when you are done. Good luck!

WARNING . . . DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN the tripod plate onto a camera. A quarter turn to snug it down is all it takes. This is what happens when you over-tighten the screw and it costs $75 to fix.
